9.47 million people have moved into poverty alleviation and relocation in China

  More than 2.66 million resettlement houses have been built

In front of the brand-new residential area, the banner of "Moving the poor and moving a new home, never forgetting the graciousness of the Communist Party" was particularly eye-catching. A few days ago, with the last batch of 579 households and 2567 filed poverty-stricken people relocating and moving in, Zhaotian City, Yunnan Province, Ludian County, Maojiawan, Poverty Alleviation and Resettlement Area, 7,570 households, 32,347 file-running and poor people relocated and moved in.

  Maojiawan in Ludian County is the second largest cross-country poverty alleviation and relocation resettlement area in the country, and it is also the epitome of nationwide poverty alleviation and relocation. According to data from the National Development and Reform Commission: As of the end of March, China had built more than 2.66 million housing units for relocation and poverty alleviation, and achieved 9.47 million people living in poverty-stricken areas, with a relocation occupancy rate of 99%. Among them, Hebei, Inner Mongolia, Jilin, Anhui, Fujian, Jiangxi, Shandong, Henan, Guangxi, Guizhou, Gansu, Qinghai, Ningxia, Xinjiang and other provinces have completed the relocation and occupancy.

  Since the beginning of this year, the National Development and Reform Commission and relevant departments and 22 provinces have resolutely implemented the Party Central Committee and the State Council's decision-making and deployment on the poverty alleviation and relocation work in the ex situ. As of the end of March, 1.82 million units of old houses have been demolished, with a demolition rate of 88%. Follow-up support measures have been implemented for more than 9 million people who have moved through the establishment of a card, and 89% of relocated families with labor have achieved employment for one or more people.

  As of mid-April, the completion of the 26 facilities in the resettlement area and the completion of 132 large-scale resettlement areas for education and medical facilities have all resumed.
