In April, the total number of China-Europe trains reached 979, and 88,000 TEUs were shipped, up 46% and 50% year-on-year respectively, and the overall heavy container rate was 97.8%. Among them, the outbound 589 trains and 53,000 TEUs were up 65% and 68% year-on-year, and the heavy container rate was 99.9%; the return trip was 390 trains and 35,000 TEUs, up 24% and 29% year-on-year, and the heavy container rate was 94.7%.

  From January to April this year, China-Europe trains operated a total of 2,920 trains and sent 262,000 TEUs, up 24% and 27% year-on-year respectively, and the overall heavy container rate was 98%. Among them, the outbound journey was 1638 rows and 148,000 TEUs, up 36% and 40% year-on-year, respectively, and the heavy box rate was 99.9%; the return trip was 1282 rows and 114,000 TEUs, up 11% and 14% year-on-year, and the heavy box rate was 95.5%. Especially since the outbreak of the epidemic, China-Europe trains have grown against the trend.

  The person in charge emphasized that the stable operation of China-Europe trains has become an important transportation link connecting China, Europe and countries along the “Belt and Road” during epidemic prevention and control, and has become an important support for a stable international supply chain during special periods. Compared with air and sea transportation, China-Europe trains carry out section transportation, which does not involve personnel quarantine and has unique advantages. After the epidemic occurred, the National Railway Group took full efforts to undertake the transfer of goods by air and sea, strengthen the organization of the development bank, improve the guarantee capacity, and actively stabilize the international supply chain. Many materials choose to be transported by China and Europe. In this regard, the National Railway Group attaches great importance to the special deployment of the international cooperation in epidemic prevention materials into the key guarantee transportation, to ensure that the transportation should be done. Since the first trip of China-Europe Pan Lei Yiwu on March 21 with the export of European anti-epidemic materials, China-Europe International Express has shipped a total of 660,000 pieces of international cooperative anti-epidemic materials and 3,142 tons, mainly reaching Italy, Germany, Spain, the Czech Republic, Poland, Hungary, the Netherlands, Lithuania and other countries, with these countries as nodes and then allocated to more European countries, effectively promoted international epidemic prevention cooperation.
