The Central Disaster Safety Response Headquarters said today (2nd) that the results of the corona19 sample diagnostic tests were conducted at nursing homes in some parts of the metropolitan area, and all of them were negative.

In order to detect and manage corona19 group infections early, the Company conducted a sample diagnostic test of 6,544 people at 46 nursing homes in the metropolitan area for 10 days from the 17th to the 27th of last month.

The subjects of the examination are workers, caregivers, and new inpatients of all nursing homes in five municipalities, such as Guro-gu and Eunpyeong-gu, Seoul, Seongnam-si, Uijeongbu-si, and Gunpo-si, where collective infections such as call centers and hospitals occurred.

This test was conducted on the 10th of last month with the cooperation of the Seoul Metropolitan City and Gyeonggi-do Institute of Health and Environment on the method of collecting corona19 samples (pooling test) jointly developed by the Korea Center for Disease Control and Prevention and the Korean Society for Diagnostic Medicine.

Pulling test is a method of mixing 5 to 10 specimens and performing diagnostic tests with one specimen.

If positive, all test subjects are individually retested.

The Company will continue to use the pooling test method to detect collective infections in high-risk collective facilities such as nursing homes, nursing homes, and mental hospitals.
