June Electricity and gas prices reduced company-wide Due to falling fuel import prices April 16 at 16:27

This June, electricity and gas prices were cut by all 10 major electric power companies and four gas companies due to the drop in import prices of fuel such as crude oil and coal.

According to a major electric power company, the price of electricity in June will be reduced by all 10 companies.

This is because the import prices of crude oil and coal, which are fuels for thermal power generation, have fallen. The price reduction compared to the previous month is for households with average usage:
▽ Okinawa Electric Power is 39 yen,
▽ Hokkaido Electric Power is 32 yen. Yen,
▽ Chugoku Electric Power and Shikoku Electric Power costs 26 yen,
▽ Hokuriku Electric Power costs 24 yen.
In addition, ▽ Tokyo
Electric Power costs 18 yen, ▽ Tohoku Electric Power costs 16 yen,
▽ Kyushu Electric Power costs 10 yen,
▽ Chubu Electric Power costs 7 yen, and
▽ Kansai Electric Power costs 3 yen.

This June, gas prices will also be reduced by all four major companies due to a drop in the import price of liquefied petroleum gas, which is partly included in city gas.

The price reduction range
is 3 yen for ▽ Tokyo Gas and Osaka Gas, Toho Gas, and
2 yen for ▽ Seibu Gas for households with average usage .

This is the first time in four months since February that the electricity and gas prices will be reduced by all major companies.
