Some of you may have planned your trip during the Golden Week, which lasts for six days, from Thursday this week to Children's Day next week. During this period, there are more than 1,000 scheduled domestic flights per day. Compared to the beginning of this month, when social distance was in full swing, the number increased by about 80%. While it is expected that 180,000 people will find it only in Jeju Island, the travel industry and local governments are expecting specials, but on the one hand, they are nervous because of the corona.

is the departure point of Seoul Gimpo Airport.

In the midst of the tranquility, family travelers are noticeable.

[Son Jung-wook / Daehwa-dong, Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do: (social distance setting) has been eased ... I don't think I can go again at this time, so I can't do what I'm doing because of Corona, so I'm taking a break and I'm going to go through this opportunity.] In

response to the relaxation of social distance, the demand for travel has begun to revive.

The aviation industry, which hit Corona 19 and went on leave, is looking forward to the so-called 'Golden Holiday', especially starting at the end of this month.

During this holiday season, there are 1,670 passenger planes flying between Seoul and Jeju.

The price of the ticket to Jeju, which had fallen below 10,000 won, rose again to 100,000 won.

But airlines and the travel industry are saying that recovery is too early.

The holiday reservation rate is around 80% compared to last year, but it is still half the rate of last year in terms of the total reservation rate in May.

Although reservations for accommodations in major tourist destinations such as Gangwon and Jeju are full, they can only be shimmered.

[Yoon Moon-Yeop / Hanwha Hotel & Resort Manager: (holiday) The average of all resorts (room reservation rate) has risen a lot to 87%, but it seems to be difficult to say that it is normalized. .]

The local governments are in a tense atmosphere while expecting a welcome.

Jeju Island, where demand for alternative travel abroad is expected to concentrate, has decided to strengthen the fever check procedure during the airport arrival process.
