"Consultation on cash flow during consecutive holidays" Request to financial institutions in Corona Financial Agency April 27, 6:20

Since the financing of small and medium-sized enterprises has become difficult due to the spread of the new coronavirus, the Financial Services Agency has set up a window for banks and credit unions as much as possible from the 2nd to the 6th of next month during the long holiday period. The policy is to call for consultation.

Financial institutions do not normally operate on public holidays and weekends during large holidays, but due to the spread of the new coronavirus infection, it is likely that many companies will be willing to consult with them regarding financing.

For this reason, the FSA has a policy of asking banks, credit unions, and credit unions all over the country to set up a contact point in a store as much as possible during the consecutive holidays from the 2nd to the 6th of next month, and to provide consultation.

In particular, a system, which is incorporated into the government's economic measures and allows private financial institutions to provide loans with virtually no interest or collateral, will start early on the 1st of next month.

The Financial Services Agency is requesting that SMEs be prepared to promptly start interest-free and unsecured loans while counseling SMEs.

On the other hand, some banks have already decided to set up a contact point for consultation services during consecutive holidays.

Mitsubishi UFJ Bank will open 20 to 30 stores, and Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation will open about 20 stores in metropolitan areas such as Tokyo for consultation. Mizuho Bank and Yokohama Bank are also considering opening some stores.
