Masks, partition walls, hygiene kits ... The Uber VTC platform announced Saturday health safety measures for its drivers, operators, deliverers, and users of its services in France in preparation for the deconfinement planned for May 11. In particular, the company plans to distribute 595,000 surgical masks in France to drivers independent of the platform, operators of its self-service jump service for bikes and scooters, as well as delivery men and women delivering the application. Uber Eats.

This distribution is based on an order for 10 million masks worldwide, already announced by the Californian giant. Drivers will also have "the possibility of installing partition walls" in their vehicles which will be reimbursed up to 50 euros, the platform explained in a press release. It would allow them "for example to equip themselves with 100 pairs of gloves, a bottle of disinfectant spray and a bottle of hydroalcoholic gel", detailed the group.
