According to the law, before July 1, the transfer of pensioners receiving pensions to bank cards to the national payment instrument, the Mir card, was to be completed.

“We understand that in the current conditions it is extremely important for our pensioners to observe the self-isolation regime. That’s why it was decided to extend the terms of the transfer until October 1 of this year, ”said Alla Bakina, director of the central payment system department of the Central Bank.

Thus, banks will be able to continue to transfer pensions to any cards after July 1.

In 2017, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed the law on the phased transfer of state employees and pensioners to Mir payment cards.
