Bruno Le Maire announced Friday a set of loans totaling $ 7 billion to save Air France. The company has been in difficulty since the start of containment, which grounded a large majority of the French fleet. The State also plans 5 billion for Renault.

Bruno Le Maire confirmed on TF1 on Friday "support Air France" to the tune of 7 billion euros to offset the effects of the coronavirus. "We must save our national company," said the Minister of Economy. Air France, like all airlines, was particularly affected by the health crisis. The majority of its planes are on the ground for lack of passengers.

The loan will come from two sources: 4 billion euros provided by the banks and 3 billion by the State. Nationalization, discussed in recent weeks, "is not on the agenda" said the Minister of Economy, the same goes for the rise of the state in the capital of Air France.
