"Air Arabia Abu Dhabi", the first low-cost economic airline based in the capital Abu Dhabi, today announced that it has obtained a "certificate of air operator" from the General Authority of Civil Aviation, and thus the carrier completes all the necessary procedures to start operating its flights from Abu Dhabi, thus becoming the fifth national carrier in UAE.


The achievement of "Air Arabia Abu Dhabi" on the "Air Operator Certificate" confirms that it possesses all the required professional ingredients, and that it complies with all safety laws necessary for aircraft operations, in addition to proving its ability to operate flights after undergoing a rigorous evaluation process from the General Authority of Civil Aviation in the state The United Arab Emirates.


Air Arabia Abu Dhabi will continue to coordinate closely with the General Authority of Civil Aviation to determine the date for launching its operational operations in accordance with improved market conditions and the lifting of the ban on air travel.


"Air Arabia Abu Dhabi" is the fruit of the agreement signed between "Etihad Airways" and "Air Arabia" to launch an economic airline that will serve as an independent joint venture, and that it will be based at Abu Dhabi International Airport as a headquarters and a main center for its operations. The new carrier, which complements the services provided by Etihad Airways from Abu Dhabi, aims to meet the growing demand in the region for low-cost air travel.
