Flydubai said it will operate up to 10 additional return flights within the next week and will continue to coordinate closely with the authorities to return Emirati citizens for free.

The company confirmed its continued support to the governments and the competent authorities and across its growing network through its efforts and helping them to make the necessary arrangements for their citizens to return to their homes.

The company said it had 23 flights back home with more than 2,800 passengers from the Emirates between March 19 and April 08, 2020.

These return flights were operated to Afghanistan, Croatia, Egypt, Iran, Russia, Sudan, Somaliland and Thailand with the approval of the General Authority of Civil Aviation and civil aviation authorities of the countries concerned and foreign ministries.

These flights were transported from Terminal 2 of Dubai International Airport only traveling abroad from the Emirates, while Emirati citizens are allowed to travel on return flights.

The company added that it resorted to the shipment of essential goods in the cargo hold of the plane and in both directions for these flights, in order to support trade and transport medical supplies through its network during these unprecedented times.

She indicated that she followed the directions issued by the World Health Organization and local health authorities. It adopts deep cleansing and disinfection operations for all of its aircraft.
