Students are also complaining about the university's online lectures. As the voice to return tuition grew, the school is considering ways to give special scholarships and living incentives.

The voice requesting a tuition refund came out shortly after the start of the semester.

[Reimburse! Refund!]

The reason was that the quality of the remote classes was too poor, such as impossible to practice and not keeping lecture time or uploading materials.

In fact, about 7 out of 10 college students were found to be dissatisfied with distance learning.

[University students taking 'remote class': There is a professor who says to be replaced by self-study instead of class, and outsiders just came into the class chat room… .]

As the student backlash grew, the Ministry of Education also proposed a plan to return some of the tuition fees for universities in remote classes at a meeting with the new presidency of the University Education Council yesterday.

The Daekyohyup side drew a line to return the tuition fee, but instead said that it would be possible to consider plans to pay special scholarships, living incentives, etc., depending on the conditions of the university.

[University Education Council official: It is a difficult situation. The tuition freeze has been over 10 years, and (financially) it is difficult.]

Students object, saying they cannot accept it.

[Dae Hyun Jeon / National University Student Association Network Co-Chair: Since we do not collect students' opinions, of course, we do not know the situation of students properly.

Political circles say that the government should reimburse 20% of tuition fees, and discussions on the return of college tuition using scholarships are expected to take off.
