In response to the government's declaration of emergency, some companies have banned their employees from visiting bases in target areas and have expanded their telework.

Mitsui & Co., in principle, has decided to ban employees from working in areas where an emergency has been declared to prevent the spread of infection.

In addition to its head office in Tokyo, approximately 4,000 employees working in the offices in Osaka and Fukuoka will be teleworked at home from 8th to 6th of next month.

Kao has also decided to ban all employees of group companies in Japan for the time being, except for some operations related to factories and logistics, from the 7th.

SOFTBANK will also ban employees in the headquarters in Tokyo and other areas subject to the declaration of emergency, except for employees required to manage the communications infrastructure.

In addition, Hitachi and Mitsubishi Electric will, in principle, continue to operate their factories and conduct more thorough teleworking in the areas subject to the emergency declaration.
