Etisalat announced the renewal of its support for the “distance learning” system in the country, after announcing the decision to continue distance learning until the end of the current academic year in the UAE, through a package of initiatives, which provide the educational sector with the necessary services, to facilitate the continuity The "distance learning" initiative for students, parents, and various workers in this vital sector.

She explained that through its integrated infrastructure and advanced digital services, it was able to enable one million students nationwide to participate in the "distance learning" platforms, without affecting the performance and continuity of the services it provides to the rest of the sectors and subscribers.

Etisalat reported that since the launch of the "Distance Learning" initiative, it has launched a set of specific initiatives, which included supporting more than 12,000 students from families without home internet services, by providing them with internet packages on mobile phones, to enable them to browse Free for educational platforms and sites affiliated with the Ministry of Education in the country, in coordination with the Ministry and the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority.

She added that it also provided free access to nine applications and platforms that provide video and audio communication, to enhance the "distance learning" mechanism, through the fixed and mobile broadband network, in coordination with the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority, in order to support the education sector and the continuity of the "distance learning" initiative .

And «Etisalat» confirmed that it provided free browsing to more than 800 websites for the education, health and safety sector for all mobile phone subscribers in «Etisalat», who exceeded 10 million subscribers in the country by the end of 2019.

Etisalat stated that its steps are in line with the social responsibility it adopts, and its belief in the necessity of an effective contribution in providing Emirati society with the latest technological solutions, and employing networking capabilities, to support students in continuing their education without any interruption, in addition to facilitating their use of educational platforms smoothly and effectively.
