A spokesman for the "Etihad Aviation Group" said: "The company will transport Emirati citizens to the country on the flights that will be operated by the airline from Abu Dhabi, starting from the fifth Sunday in April."
The spokesman asserted in a press statement yesterday, that "the transportation will be free of charge without charging citizens with tickets for travel tickets, or any other fees." He stressed that this is the duty of national carriers.
The spokesman explained that «these trips will be operated regularly, starting from Sunday, to specific destinations, topped by the South Korean city of Seoul, followed by Melbourne, Singapore, Manila, Bangkok, Jakarta and Amsterdam», indicating that these destinations were subject to government approval.
The spokesman pointed out that over the past weeks, Etihad Airways has made evacuation flights to a number of countries, making it easier for its citizens to return to their homes, in light of the current travel restrictions to limit the spread of the new Corona virus (Covid-19), as it postponed.
