“In the coming months, we need to agree on a reduction in production volumes, subsequently monitor the situation, watch, and stabilize the situation as soon as possible in order to prevent a collapse in the oil markets,” the head of the Ministry of Energy said.
Earlier in the meeting, Putin said that Russia was ready to work with OPEC + and the United States to reduce oil production.
The head of state also indicated that Russia feels quite comfortable with a price of $ 42 per barrel of oil, at which the budget is made up.
