Following the announcement of the community initiative "Community Solidarity Fund against Coved-19" which was launched by the Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities in Dubai to reinforce the efforts made in Dubai to reduce the repercussions of the emerging corona virus, Covid 19, the health, humanitarian, economic and social, Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry announced today, Its commitment and full support for the initiative, with an initial contribution to the fund of 10 million dirhams, will be followed by a set of initiatives aimed at activating the role of the private sector and its contribution to the success of its directions.


In this context, Hamad Buamim, Director General of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said: "The Chamber is working to activate the role of the private sector in supporting efforts aimed at reducing the negative repercussions of the spread of the Corona virus, with our full commitment to the success of the Fund's goals, especially with regard to helping the local business sector to Dealing efficiently and flexibly with the consequences of this transient crisis, "stressing that the Chamber is fully aware that it faces a great responsibility and will strive to do it with the highest levels of efficiency and excellence in a manner that serves the emirate’s directions and assisting the business sectors at this stage.

The Dubai Chamber also affirmed the readiness of a large number of major international and national companies to participate actively in this initiative, and Bouamim explained that the Chamber’s commitment to this initiative involves several axes, foremost of which is focusing on small and medium companies most affected by the repercussions of the current crisis, as well as providing humanitarian and logistical support for resources The people working in many vital projects at the private sector level, including ensuring the means of return for the workers who want to return to their countries.


Bou Amim added: "We have contacted many international companies and family and large institutions operating in the emirate that have shown great response to this initiative, in a move that reflects the extent of the business community's keenness to contribute to an influential role in supporting the great efforts currently being made to overcome the current crisis that affected most of the countries The world, especially by supporting the Community Solidarity Fund against Covid-19.
