His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, issued a Federal Decree for the year 2020 appointing Abdul Hamid Saeed as Governor of the Central Bank of the United Arab Emirates.


Abdul Hamid Saeed has more than 35 years experience in the field of banking and financial services, and through his membership on the boards of directors of many entities and institutions such as First Abu Dhabi Bank and Abu Dhabi Development Holding Company, and the Emirates Investment Authority in addition to the Abu Dhabi Stock Exchange and Sky News Arabia.


Saeed also served on the membership of both the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors and the Audit, Risk and Compliance Committee in Mubadala Investment Company in addition to several positions he previously held in Citibank .. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of Arizona in the United States.
