Before yesterday's announcement on the 30th, the local governments, which had already decided to give some money to the residents, had a little complicated thoughts. There is a mixed choice between local governments, whether the government's money will be subsidized by the local government or only the government's subsidies.

The Seoul Metropolitan Government, which decided to give an emergency living cost of 300 to 500,000 won below 100% of the median income, decided to provide its own subsidy as planned and then make additional payments according to the size and target of the government level.

In fact, they would only apply for government subsidies.

[Lee Sang-hoon / Seoul Metropolitan Government Planning Officer: Although it is our application target, the scale of application is different. I'm going to give you the difference. It means that the government's emergency disaster relief fund will be post-filled.]

The government of Chungcheongbuk-do and Sejong-si decided to withdraw their own support plans and put their own budget to cover the government's support.

On the other hand, Gyeonggi-do, which decided to give 100,000 won of disaster basic income to all residents, decided to maintain triple support from the central government, regional organizations, and basic organizations.

However, the government decided not to pay 20% of the government's disaster assistance funds that the local government would have to bear.

Based on the four-member family, only 800,000 won will be paid by the central government, and the rest of the local government will be provided according to the policies of Gyeonggi-do and each municipality.

If this happens, the scale of support will vary from 2.8 million won to 1.3 million won even in Gyeonggi-do.

Busan, Gwangju, and Daejeon have set up policies to fully overlap the government and not the local government.

Depending on where you live in, the controversy over equity among regions is expected to increase as the amount of disaster support for four-person families varies by 1.8 million won.
