The Ministry of Economy started to amend some fees for services provided electronically through its official website, as part of the efforts made by the federal government to mitigate the companies and customers.

The Ministry announced that it will stop using smart access to the electronic services website, and it will be replaced with the digital ID of customers.

The Ministry stated that, to make the necessary arrangements on the electronic payment system, it will carry out maintenance of the system as of today, Tuesday, exposing the service to some interruptions.

The Ministry provided a comprehensive explanation of how to upgrade the smart entry account to the digital identity of companies and customers, through three easy steps that were explained through a link published on the website.

The «Economy» had previously announced the application of a new and revised list of fees for services it provides to the public and the business community through the Happiness Centers and through its website, in implementation of the decision issued by the Council of Ministers on reducing government service fees.

The decision was considered positive upon its issuance, and would support the business sector in the Emirates, as it contributes to reducing the costs of carrying out commercial and investment activities for citizens and residents of business owners, in addition to small and medium businesses. In addition to this action came within the framework of the decisions taken by the government to boost the growth of the national economy, it also reflected the Ministry of Economy’s keenness to provide a foster and friendly environment for companies and projects in the country, and to support the commercial success package, in a manner that contributes to encouraging and stimulating the private sector in the UAE.
