The Ministry of Economy said that it has taken urgent measures in coordination with suppliers and partners in foreign markets to increase the volume of import of onion goods and pump them into the markets, after this commodity witnessed a rise in prices during the past two days.
The ministry said that the state's ports received yesterday new shipments of onions, up to 1500 tons in size, to support the supply in the markets of this commodity, noting that new shipments will arrive in the coming days.
The Ministry of Economy affirms that it follows the markets on a daily basis, monitors the supply and demand situation and takes immediate and necessary measures to ensure price stability and market discipline.
