The Dubai Smart Department launched the “Dubai Records” initiative, which is part of the government development path projects, for the six development paths announced by the “Dubai Council” early this year.

Smart Dubai said in a statement yesterday that its initiative aims to build a network of accurate, reliable and interconnected data records with added value for a sustainable and happy city.

She explained that the initiative seeks to create and organize a set of digital records, each of which constitutes a unified source of accurate, reliable and interconnected information, by collecting the most recent and most accurate data into innovative digital records, to ensure an easy and effective interaction between the government, citizens, residents and visitors. Digital records include information in several areas, including: individuals, the economy, land, and city assets.

According to Smart Dubai, the initiative constitutes an effective tool for defining the methodology for preparing records, while setting standards and priorities and defining a road map for implementation, pointing out that the initiative will include reliable data available on the Dubai Plus platform to identify potential records, and develop a plan for preparing them during the year 2020 2021 - preparing its own governance.

The Director General of "Smart Dubai", Dr. Aisha Bint Butti Bin Bishr, said that Dubai has led a steady and distinguished journey towards harnessing the power of data and building strong infrastructure for it, which puts data at the heart of the smart future of the city's plans.

She added: “From the vision and direction of our leadership, and as the entity charged with leading the smart transformation process in Dubai, (Smart Dubai) launched a full set of initiatives and services designed based on harnessing the power of data, while today we add a new achievement to our series of initiatives in this framework, to represent the initiative ( Dubai Records) is a new milestone in our journey, allowing us to start using the vast amount of data we collected through other initiatives, classifying and presenting it in the easiest and most beneficial way for our various partners. ”

She emphasized that the initiative will enable the government to enhance the use of "Dubai Records", which would accelerate the achievement of the goals of "Dubai Paperless Strategy", which aims to digitize all internal and external government transactions with dealers, and to ensure that all transactions do not contain any paper By December 2021.
