The General Authority for Regulating the Telecommunications Sector in the State, warned of fraudulent messages that take on the role of the Central Bank, and call for contact and sharing of banking data so that the account is not suspended. The authority called for a warning to be sent through its pages on social media from subscribers in case of doubt, to communicate with banks and banks, through their official numbers.

The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority affirmed that it likes bank customers to remember that the bank will not ask them for their card details or their password.

Among the forms of circulating messages that «Regulating Communications» warned of are messages bearing the name and logo of the central bank, claiming that the customer’s bank account and ATM, and debit and credit cards will be closed or frozen for security reasons, and calls to communicate with a specific number to verify details before closing.
