Real Estate Development Company, Nakheel, today announced a 230 million dirham economic aid package for its customers to reduce and mitigate the negative effects of the emerging corona virus crisis, known scientifically as "Covid 19".
This initiative is in line with the economic incentives package directed by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and approved by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council.
The economic assistance package announced by Nakheel aims to help reduce the financial burdens faced by companies and individuals in light of the current global challenges.
Nakheel’s clients include real estate owners, retail and hospitality tenants, and small business operators. The aid package includes free rental periods for retail and hospitality partners within the "Nakheel Malls" portfolio, which will be applied upon the reopening of the currently closed shopping centers according to government directives. Free rental periods will also be granted to owners of small retail stores in key Nakheel communities.
Nakheel will also exempt administrative fees through various services for a period of three months, and according to government directives, district cooling fees will be reduced by 10 percent for a period of three months for residential and commercial facilities.
