India has announced the closure of the famous "Taj Mahal" shrine in India, to reduce the spread of the new epidemic of Coronavirus, with the South Asian country registering its third death from HIV infection on Tuesday.

Officials at the Ministry of Tourism said that there are tens of thousands of people who visit the "Love Monument" daily, and it is necessary to temporarily close the site.
The famous shrine is located in the northern city of Agra, and is considered the most important tourist attraction in the country, attracting between 7 and 8 million visitors annually.

A spokeswoman for the Ministry of Tourism, Nano Basin, said that orders had been issued to close at least 143 monuments in India, including the Taj Mahal, as well as museums across India, until March 31.

On the other hand, Minister of Tourism and Culture, Prahalad Singh Patel, said that the decision is to be reviewed after the closure period ends.
"The decision was made with the aim of stopping the spread of the Coruna virus. We must preserve the safety of the citizens," said Bassin.
It is reported that most schools, shopping centers and recreational facilities, including cinemas, have already been closed across the country, due to measures taken by regional governments to control the spread of the disease.
Today, Tuesday, India recorded the third death due to coronavirus infection in the western state of Maharashtra, according to the Federal Ministry of Health. There are currently 126 confirmed cases of coronavirus in the country, 22 of which are foreigners.
