Last week, real estate transactions at the Department of Lands and Properties in Dubai generated more than 4.22 billion dirhams.

The weekly report on the actions issued by the Department yesterday, recorded 815 sales of 2.44 billion dirhams, including 90 sales of land amounting to 1.41 billion dirhams, and 725 sales of apartments and villas worth 1.03 billion dirhams, while mortgages recorded 1.78 billion dirhams.

The most important land sales came with a value of 330 million dirhams in the first Al Sufouh area, followed by a sales of 315 million dirhams in Al Barsha South south fourth, then a sales of 65 million dirhams in the second Jumeirah area.

The "fifth pageant" topped the regions in terms of the number of sales, with eight sales recording 30 million dirhams, followed by Umm Suqeim III with eight sales amounting to 380 million dirhams, and the third in Jebel Ali the first with seven sales amounting to 14 million dirhams.

The most important sales of apartments and villas were sales in "Island 2": the first with a value of 22 million dirhams, and the second with 16 million dirhams.

Burj Khalifa topped the regions in terms of number of sales of apartments and villas, recording 76 sales of 184 million dirhams, followed by Dubai Marina with 68 sales amounting to 157 million dirhams, and third in Business Bay with 44 sales pledging 51 million dirhams.
