Kuwait announced today the suspension of all commercial flights departing from and arriving to Kuwait International Airport from midnight on Friday until further notice.

The Kuwaiti News Agency "KUNA" quoted the head of the Government Communication Center, the official spokesman for the Kuwaiti government, Tariq Al-Muzarram, as saying that the cabinet decided this in its extraordinary meeting today, adding that "the upcoming flights to Kuwait International Airport will be limited only to Kuwaiti travelers and their first-degree relatives," explaining that "Cargo planes were excluded from the decision."

Al-Mazram said in a press conference that this decision is one of the measures taken by the state to face the repercussions of the emerging corona virus, "Covid 19".
