China News Network, Suzhou, March 3rd (Zhou Jianlin) On the 3rd, the Suzhou Supercomputing Center was unveiled, and the city's "super brain" was officially launched. In the future, Suzhou will become more "smart" and the road to a smart city will be more practical.

The Suzhou Supercomputing Center is located in the International Science and Technology Park of Suzhou Industrial Park. It is built on the Tier-4 data room of the highest-level National Science and Technology Data Center in Asia. The total investment of the project is 210 million yuan, and it is planned to be constructed in two phases. It will provide services including hardware resources, software applications, and operation consulting to help build a smart city.

At present, Suzhou Supercomputing Center has nearly 200 servers, more than 50 cabinets, and 265.7 billion operations per second. "Traditional supercomputing centers are mainly CPU computing, and we build intelligent supercomputing centers, mainly GPU computing, and focus more on deep learning. In addition, we can virtualize supercomputing resources and we can serve nearly a hundred supercomputers at the same time. Users, "said Gu Wenbin, deputy general manager of Suzhou Supercomputing Center Co., Ltd.

After more than 20 years of development, the Suzhou Industrial Park has now formed a "2 + 3" industrial pattern, which has gathered industrial clusters such as artificial intelligence, nanomaterials, biomedicine, electronic information, and machinery manufacturing. A number of technological innovation companies have generated a strong demand for supercomputing services during the development process. "After more than three months of customer testing and continuous optimization, the Supercomputing Center can basically meet the business needs of enterprises in the Suzhou Industrial Park." Gu Wenbin revealed.

According to reports, after the Suzhou Supercomputing Center was officially put into operation, it focused on enterprises in the fields of artificial intelligence and biomedicine, and provided important supercomputing infrastructure and value-added supercomputing services to serve and support the development of Suzhou. At the same time, Suzhou Supercomputing Center will also realize resource interconnection and dislocation development with Shanghai Supercomputing Center and Wuxi Supercomputing Center, saving research costs and R & D cycles, and comprehensively improving the scientific research level of the Yangtze River Delta.
