The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority in the country has confirmed that the legal and regulatory framework in the Emirates is strictly prohibited from espionage and any of its forms, and that any of these acts is a crime punishable according to the applicable laws.
And the «Regulation of Communications» explained to «Emirates Today», that this applies to all cases that could include this type of activities, including voice and video communication via the Internet approved in the country, such as the “Tutuk” application and other other applications.
In addition, the developer confirmed to "Totok" that it cannot read or track text messages to users on the application, nor can it track or enter calls or record the contacts of users on the application or access the images on the application.
The company stated in a message to users, today, that it cannot spy on users' voice recordings, pointing out that these features are the same as those found in all other applications such as "WhatsApp" and "Telegram."
She stressed that she is primarily committed to the ethical values of integrity, transparency and justice, indicating that she will continue to communicate with users about any developments or facts.
The company revealed that the application will soon be provided with a set of new features, such as "Tutuk News" and "Tutuk Games Center", among others.
Google Play had deleted the Tutuk free voice and video call again last Thursday, six weeks after it was restored again.
And Google claimed that the application spies on the personal information of users, which was denied by the developer at the time, stressing that there is no legal justification for the new ban on "Tutuk" and that the sudden ban in the absence of any reasons or evidence shows the injustice of the companies "Google" and " Apple »towards consumers and that their role as competitors and operators at the same time should raise fears and anxiety among regulators in the sector.
