The State Grid implements multiple measures to reduce the cost of electricity

Xinhua News Agency, Beijing, February 22 (Reporter Jiang Lin) In order to alleviate the pressure of business operations and help enterprises resume work and resume production, the National Development and Reform Commission announced on the 22nd a phased policy to reduce the cost of electricity used by enterprises. In this regard, the State Grid Corporation expressed its firm support for this decision-making deployment, and issued a number of implementation measures on the same day. It is expected that within the scope of the State Grid's business, electricity bills for large industrial and general industrial and commercial enterprises will be reduced to approximately 48.9 billion yuan.

According to reports, during the policy implementation period from February 1st to June 30th, State Grid will reduce or reduce 5% of the electricity costs of non-high energy-consuming large industrial enterprises and benefit more than 400,000 customers; reduce or exempt non-high energy-consuming general industrial and commercial enterprises 5%, benefiting more than 42 million power customers; extending the implementation period of the “Supportive Two-Party Electricity Price Policy”, benefiting more than 400,000 power customers.

The relevant person in charge of the company stated that all the reductions and exemptions of electricity costs involved in the phased-down electricity cost policy were not transmitted to upstream companies such as power generation companies and were not shared with government fund collection agencies.

For power customers benefiting from the policy, the State Grid adopts temporary meter reading measures, records the electricity data from February 1 and June 30, calculates the electricity bills from household to household, and ensures that the national policy bonus to fight the epidemic and support the development of enterprises is implemented to every A business.

For those who comply with this phased power cost reduction policy, customers who have paid their electricity bills in February will be reduced from house to house when they collect their electricity bills in March to ensure that customers enjoy the full reduction of electricity bills.

In addition, the State Grid will also cooperate with government departments to clean up and regulate unreasonable price increases in the transition to power supply, and supervise commercial complexes and other efforts to transfer the policy dividends of electricity tariffs in a timely manner and in full to terminal power users.
