The Japanese Health Ministry announced today, Sunday, the death of the third passenger of the Diamond Princess cruise ship, after he was infected with the new mutated Corona virus.
The Japanese Radio and Television Corporation quoted the ministry as saying that the man in his eighties had contracted the virus on board the ship, and was then taken to hospital.
634 passengers and crew of the ship were infected with the virus. Two passengers earlier died of the virus. The ship had been quarantined at Yokohama Port for two weeks.
