The companies told Emirates Today, on the sidelines of participation in Gulfood 2020, which concluded its work at the Dubai World Trade Center yesterday, that they intend to launch their new products in the markets of the country and the region, during the next few months.

In detail, Ezzedine Mikausi, director of business development at the Sadeen General Trading Company, said that his company offered, through its platform at Gulfood 2020, products for innovative drinking water bottles manufactured in Italy from corn leaves and organic materials, allowing after the use of water And the plastic cover removed from it, the possibility of cultivating it in the soil to decompose and release new plants after 80 days.

Mikawasi added that the company intends to launch these new environmentally friendly packages in the UAE markets during the next two months, noting that there are discussions currently to launch them in the interest of airlines in the country, provided that ways to launch them later in various local sales outlets are discussed, especially during a period "Expo 2020 Dubai", as it fits with the goals of the exhibition regarding sustainability and innovation.

He stated that the prices of water bottles that can be cultivated will be close to the prices of traditional water bottles, given that the cost of investment in development and innovation was actually carried out in the initial stages.
