Dubai Emerging Projects, one of the initiatives of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry to support entrepreneurship, announced yesterday the launch of a new program to support Emirati businessmen, called the “Program for developing the skills of young citizens”, at a ceremony held at the Chamber’s headquarters.

The ceremony also witnessed the announcement of the launch of the Training, Guidance and Guidance Academy, in partnership with the Dubai Technology Center for Entrepreneurship «Detec», which is owned by the Dubai Silicon Oasis Authority, which will, over a full month, provide specialized training for Emirati entrepreneurs who have professional ideas they want to develop, or Those who established their business and are still in its early stages.

The goal of the program

The Dubai Chamber said in a statement that the program aims primarily to encourage young citizens to take up jobs in the private sector, by identifying the skills that young citizens need, and developing them by providing specialized training for citizens, and providing them with the necessary knowledge and experience in the field of entrepreneurship In line with the skills and experience they gained through this specialized training, the program also aims to help young citizens start their own businesses or join a private startup.

She added that the "Citizen Youth Skills Development Program" is the umbrella under which all "Dubai Emerging Projects" initiatives, which aim to develop the skills of citizen youth, will be gathered under it.

The Chamber indicated that the new program is open to all entrepreneurs and owners of emerging projects who are citizens of the UAE, where 30 participants will be chosen to participate in the program, benefit from specialized training, and provide the necessary support to them, to develop and grow their pilot business projects, indicating that progress can be made to participate in Activities and initiatives of the program, by submitting an application on the Dubai website for "Emerging Projects".

Dubai Chamber Chairman, Majid Saif Al Ghurair said that Dubai Emerging Projects will focus, in the coming period, on supporting Emirati businessmen and owners of emerging projects, establishing their presence in the private sector, as well as overcoming challenges to establishing their business and helping them To enter the labor market strongly and smoothly, ensuring success in a competitive work environment, by launching specialized programs and initiatives.

Al Ghurair pointed out that Dubai Emerging Projects helped more than 7000 entrepreneurs, in addition to launching a wide range of programs, initiatives and events that support entrepreneurs, companies and the younger generation in the region, stressing that the Chamber aims to provide the necessary support for Emirati national talents.
