Sanad Aviation Technologies, a provider of aircraft engine maintenance, repair and overhaul solutions, a subsidiary of Sanad, which is wholly owned by the Mubadala Investment Company, has announced a strategic alliance with Ethiopian Airlines, in the first expansion of Sanad’s operations outside the country and in Africa.

A statement issued yesterday stated that the alliance announced during the activities of the Aircraft Maintenance and Age Conference and Exhibition in Addis Ababa, enhances the prospects for cooperation between "Sanad Aviation Technologies" and "Ethiopian" in the areas of maintenance, repair and aircraft reconstruction, through the African continent's portal that is full of business opportunities. , And is seeing continued growth in the aviation sector.

The first phase of this historic alliance includes the establishment of a joint center of excellence for maintenance, repair and overhaul services for standby power generators between Sanad and Ethiopian Airlines, with the aim of providing maintenance services to secondary energy units in Addis Ababa.

Under this alliance, the first phase will focus on generators used on Boeing B737 and Airbus A320 aircraft.

The CEO of "Sanad Aviation Technologies", Mansour Janahi, said that "the alliance paves the way for greater cooperation in developing various capabilities and competencies, providing African Airways with an unprecedented level of maintenance, repair and age services according to the highest international standards."

For his part, CEO of Ethiopian Airlines, Tualdi Gebriamaryam said: “Our facilities are characterized by their willingness to provide cost-effective and expeditious maintenance services to African airlines. We would like to expand cooperation with Sanad to include other aircraft components. ”
