Emirates Airlines said it will suspend its flights to Guangzhou and Shanghai from Wednesday, February 5 until further notice, according to the instructions issued by the General Authority of Civil Aviation.

The carrier stated on its website that it will continue to operate its flights to Beijing Capital Airport according to the scheduled schedule, adding: "Passengers from this station will undergo additional medical checks upon departure and they must go to the airport 8 hours before their scheduled flight."

The General Authority of Civil Aviation has announced the suspension of all flights arriving and coming from the People's Republic of China, except for flights coming from the capital, Beijing, as of 02/05/2020, until further notice, within the framework of the precautionary measures undertaken by the UAE to confront the new Corona virus.
