"Telework" Call for Calls during the Olympics and Para Governments February 6 at 6:11

In order to reduce traffic congestion during the Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics, the government will conduct a campaign calling on companies to "telework" working at home without going to work. The goal is for more than 3,000 organizations to outperform last year's campaign.

"Telework" is a work style in which people work at home or in a shared office without going to work, and the government has recommended it for three years in anticipation of the Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics.

The actual production is called "Telework Days 2020" and calls on companies and local governments to conduct telework from July 20 to the Paralympic closing ceremony on September 6 prior to the opening ceremony of the Olympics. .

Last year's campaign, which was held at about the same time, attracted 2887 organizations nationwide, or about 680,000 people, and we are aiming for more than 3,000 organizations.

In addition to encouraging companies in Tokyo to conduct "telework" for 10% of their employees, large companies in central Tokyo will be called upon to implement a larger scale.

In addition to teleworking, the government is calling for “staggered work” to avoid peak hours during work and leaving work and taking leave to reduce congestion during the period.
