“On January 20, 2020, the arrests and interim measures taken in England and Wales, the Netherlands and Luxembourg at the request of Naftogaz Ukrainy on the basis of the arbitration decision of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce ... were withdrawn,” the statement said.

At the end of 2019, Russia and Ukraine signed a gas transit agreement, and also agreed to resolve mutual claims.

Thus, the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine withdrew claims to Gazprom in the amount of about $ 7.4 billion, and the Russian company paid about $ 2.9 billion according to decisions of the Stockholm Arbitration Court.

The Ukrainian side also pledged to lift all arrests on Gazprom’s property, assets and funds.

In the summer, the Amsterdam court rejected the complaint of Gazprom in the case of the enforcement of the decision of the Stockholm arbitration in a dispute with Naftogaz.
