According to the regulator, monetary gold reserves in the international reserves of Russia reached 73 million ounces as of January 1, 2020. This is approximately 5 million ounces more compared to January 1, 2019 (67.9 million ounces)

It is noted that at the moment the cost of gold in the country's reserves reaches the figure of $ 110.376 billion.

In June last year, the World Gold Council named Russia the world leader in gold purchases in the first quarter of 2019.
