Emmanuel Macron wants to promote investments in France. The French president is on the warpath for the third edition of "Choose France", an event supposed to promote the country for private investments. He will be in Versailles this Monday afternoon to meet bosses from all over the world.

The bosses of more than 160 companies, French but especially international, are expected: Youtube, Netflix, General Electric or even Arcelor Mittal. Some will meet directly with President Emmanuel Macron, the others with the twenty ministers and other officials of the administration gathered in Versailles, during bilateral meetings, then during a dinner, all, behind closed doors.

Two years ago, the first edition of "Choose France" had resulted in more than 1,300 investment decisions and the creation of 30,000 jobs, according to figures from the presidency. The final results of the 2019 vintage are not yet known, but they should be higher, according to the Elysée.

Announcements are also expected. A list of “turnkey” sites will be revealed. Places, all over France, where the administrative procedures have already been carried out, in order to facilitate the establishment of factories in the country.

The government also wants to encourage the establishment of headquarters in a context where many groups are leaving or planning to leave the United Kingdom, due to Brexit. Details have not yet been given, but Elysian sources say " improving the tax and legal environment." "
