It was a speech of firmness held by the Iranian supreme guide, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, during his preaching at Friday prayers, a first for eight years. He notably affirmed that the Iranians, with their massive presence at the funeral of General Soleimani, had once again sworn allegiance to the ideals of the Islamic revolution, denouncing the demonstrations in recent days against the government.

Ayatollah Khamenei hailed the massive presence of Iranians during the mourning ceremonies for General Qassem Soleimani , but also Iran's reaction to the strike of an American base by missiles and then the strike of a state base - United in Iraq, calling them " divine events ". " The presence of tens of millions of people in Iran and hundreds of people in Iraq and other countries to salute the blood of Commander Soleimani is a sign that this is a divine day. Then the day the Revolutionary Guards missiles hit the American base is also a divine day.

Unfortunate accident

In his preaching , Ayatollah Khamenei also offered condolences to the families of the victims of the Ukrainian plane accidentally shot down by an Iranian missile, describing the crash as a " painful accident ". He denounced those who, according to him, have tried in recent days to make these two major events forgotten. Protests took place between Saturday and Monday in Tehran and in the provinces, each time bringing together a few hundred or a few thousand people with very harsh slogans against the government to criticize the version of the authorities who first spoke of a simple technical accident before acknowledging that a missile had been fired by mistake against the Ukrainian plane.
