According to the architect of the Microsoft technology center in Russia Ivan Budylin, now they are obliged to quickly switch to Windows 10, since working without technical support is contrary to information security requirements.

At the same time, a survey conducted by the publication showed that credit institutions are not yet ready to completely abandon the old OS.

Some of them said that they agreed on paid additional support for Windows 7 (EAS). However, the source at Microsoft explained, this is not an alternative, but a temporary measure.

Alfa-Bank reported that they completed a complete transition. It lasted about a year and a half and demanded the modernization of the park of workstations.

VTB noted that this requires time and financial costs. There, as in Rosbank, they are in the process of updating.

Earlier, computer technology expert Sergei Korogod, in an interview with the 360 television channel, expressed the opinion that the termination of support for Windows 7 will primarily affect legal entities.
