No one would have thought that a civilian aircraft could be the target of a missile by mistake. This mistake was made by those who work to ensure the security of the country, "said the Iranian president during an address to the Council of Ministers, adding that the" crash of the Ukrainian plane was a great pain for all the world, the government, the people and the armed forces ”.
He added that to alleviate this pain, we must speak sincerely to the population, tell the whole truth and recognize everyone's responsibility.

"I ask the armed forces and the general staff to explain to the population everything that happened between the moment when the accident occurred and the moment when the population was informed and to say the questions that were asked and the meetings that took place so that people would understand that there was no desire to hide things, "said President Rohani.

Recall that for 72 hours, the authorities maintained that the crash of the Ukrainian plane was due to a simple technical problem before the general staff of the armed forces published a press release to recognize that an Iranian missile had caused the fall of the plane. Demonstrations have taken place in recent days to protest the authorities' silence during these three days.

The Iranian president finally affirmed that the error made should not be a pretext to weaken the armed forces.
