The Department of Energy in Abu Dhabi revealed that it will announce the launch of a new innovative platform within its efforts to support innovation and technology, noting that more details about the platform will be revealed during the activities of the "Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week", which is held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces from January 11 to 18.

The department will highlight the energy sector in Abu Dhabi through a number of events and activities under the slogan "Towards a New Era of Abu Dhabi Energy", which also highlights the department's endeavor to involve society in the sustainability system in the emirate through the participation of its executive leaders and a number of its officials in the forums and the organization of a number of Rich dialogues and discussions between elite specialists and attendees, and through its platform to display a number of activities and programs.

The activities and programs of the Department of Energy revolve around the main theme of this week’s Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week, which is “accelerating the pace of sustainable development”, in addition to the main discussion areas of youth, artificial intelligence, and society. The department also holds several activities related to the topics of discussion within its platform at the "World Future Energy Summit" and during the activities of the last day at the headquarters of the "Source City".

The head of the Energy Department, Eng. Awaidah Murshid Al-Murar, and the Undersecretary of the Department, Eng. Muhammad bin Jarash Al-Falasi, participate during the activities of the week in forums dealing with issues of energy, water, environmental waste and smart cities, and focus on topics of rethinking consumption and production, and global investment in energy. The department will also focus, through its activities, on its efforts in the field of empowering women, youth and various segments of society, through its participation in the "Youth for Sustainability" initiative and the "Women for Sustainability, Environment and Renewable Energy" forum.
