The Abu Dhabi Quality and Conformity Council announced the end of its inspection campaigns for 2019, which concluded with an inspection campaign on the tea and coffee “Al Dalal” containers circulating in the markets of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, as part of its continuous efforts aimed at providing safe and fair markets in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.

The Council stated in a statement today that the campaign resulted in inspection of approximately 2000 products of tea and coffee containers in the emirate's markets in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and Al Dhafra regions to ensure that the products traded in the emirate’s markets comply with the safety requirements in force in the emirate And the market is free of unsafe or non-conforming products to safety requirements, as the Board prohibited the circulation of 98 commodities that represent 10 products that do not comply with safety requirements, and instructed merchants and suppliers to adhere to not offer or sell products that do not have a conformity certificate.

The spokesman for the Abu Dhabi Council for Quality and Conformity, Sultan Al Muhairi, said, "This campaign comes within the inspection campaigns that the Council conducts throughout the year in the markets of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, where the focus of this campaign was on the products of tea and coffee containers (auctioneer), based on information Handled products containing prohibited (asbestos) material.
