“About 2,300 km of the Nord Stream 2 pipeline have already been laid to date (out of approximately 2,460 km),” RIA Novosti quoted Mueller as saying.

According to him, the companies supporting the project are working on an early launch of the pipeline.

Earlier it became known that the Federal Office for Shipping and Hydrography of Germany allowed the laying of pipes of the Nord Stream-2 gas pipeline in the winter months.

On December 21, the US Treasury announced sanctions against Nord Stream 2. After that, the Swiss company Allseas suspended work on the project.
