He noted that the company, together with partners, will work to complete the project as soon as possible.
“The completion of the project is crucial for the security of energy supplies to Europe,” Muller added.
Earlier, the US Treasury announced the imposition of sanctions against Nord Stream 2.
The document stipulates that parties that sold, leased or leased vessels involved in the laying of pipes in the sea at a depth of more than 100 feet in the construction of the Nord Stream 2 and Turkish Stream, “must ensure that these vessels immediately discontinued construction activities. ”
In this regard, the Swiss Allseas suspended work on the project. The company expects US authorities to clarify how the sanctions will be applied.
