The authority emphasized that all international and local companies that manufacture in the state, whether in free zones or others, are committed to applying those specifications and regulations issued by the authority, noting that recent allegations about the quality of local products have positively reflected on highlighting the efficiency and quality of these products in the country and abroad, pointing to The executive regulations for the new product safety law are expected to be launched in the first half of next year.

He added during a press meeting in Dubai yesterday, that "the authority applies its own regulations to all companies, whether international or local operating in the state," stressing that "all institutions are committed to implementation, whether in the free zones or in the industrial areas."

Al-Muaini pointed out that «the recent allegations campaign against Emirati products revealed the efficiency and quality of those manufactured products in the country, and indicated the extent of their access to various markets in the world, in addition to the fact that these allegations shed light on the use of a large number of international companies, especially the manufacturer of luxury cars , With locally manufactured materials ».

He stated that “the strength of the UAE regulations and requirements issued by (specifications) make a large number of international companies depend on the Emirati quality mark, even if they are manufactured and supplied to foreign markets, due to the extent of confidence in the standards represented by the brand.”

And that "one of the benefits that resulted from the campaign of the recent allegations is the increased awareness that the barcode numbers on traded goods do not necessarily mean that they are manufactured in the country, but they distinguish these countries from the markets."

To that, Al-Muaini stated that «the authority has completed the final draft of the executive regulations of the new product safety law, while the necessary consultations are currently taking place regarding it, provided that during the coming period it will be submitted to the cabinet, in preparation for launching the executive regulations of the law within an expected date in the first half of next year , To come into effect. ”

He said that «the new law encourages innovation and the introduction of new innovative products, as it allows companies and merchants to put new products on the market, even if they do not have regulations or requirements of their own, provided that safety standards for users of those products are adopted.

He explained that «the law holds merchants and suppliers responsible for verifying the availability of safety specifications for any products that are put on the market, even if they are new goods of their kind, and are offered for the first time».
