Toyota next year group worldwide sales plan for record high 10.77 million units December 17 18:34

Toyota Motor announced that it will set a record-high 10.77 million units for the next year's global sales for the group as it expects new car sales growth in China and Europe.

According to the announcement, the Toyota Group, including Daihatsu Motor and Hino Motors, will increase its global sales for the next year by 50,000 units to 10.77 million units, a record high.

This is the seventh consecutive year that the sales plan exceeds 10 million units.

In overseas markets, in addition to strong sales of the luxury car brand “Lexus” in China, sales are expected to increase by 140,000 in Europe, where demand for hybrid vehicles is expanding.

On the other hand, the domestic market is expected to decrease by 90,000 due to the end of the introduction of new models and the reaction to last-minute demand accompanying the increase in the consumption tax rate.

Toyota's domestic production next year will be 3.24 million units, which is 180,000 less than the current production volume, because Toyota has switched part of the production of its main models overseas. It is said that the production of 3 million units, which is indispensable to secure, will be maintained.
