SMBC Nikko Securities Dec. 17 0:10 on weekdays for reasons of nursing care

Creating an environment where you can continue working while raising children and nursing care is spreading among companies. SMBC Nikko Securities, a major securities company, will introduce a system that allows four days off a week for nursing care reasons.

SMBC Nikko Securities has decided to review the personnel system from the next fiscal year due to an increase in the number of employees who have been unable to continue working as before for childcare and nursing care.

Regular employees in their 40s and 50s will be allowed four days a week for reasons of nursing care, and full-time employees in their 30s will be granted three days a week for reasons of nursing and childcare.

The basic salary is reduced to 60% for 4 days a week and 80% for 3 days a week, but it is possible to return to the normal work system.

The number of companies that adopt a three-day weekly system as part of nursing care and work style reforms has increased over the past few years, but according to the Japan Research Institute, which is familiar with the company's personnel system, cases that allow four days a week are major. This means that there are still few companies.

SMBC Nikko will also accept side jobs in the future, and it is hoped that it will lead to the connection of excellent human resources and the improvement of business efficiency by adopting flexible work styles.
