In detail, the Executive Director of Aviation Security and Accident Investigation at the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, Mohammed Abdullah Linjawi, stressed that safety is a first priority in the operations of air transport in the Emirate of Dubai within the framework of continuous inspections of airlines, airports and service providers for this sector.

Lengawi said that coordination is being done with each agency concerned with providing services on an annual audit schedule to ensure that they meet the international standards issued by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), as well as the standards followed at the local level.

And Linjawi pointed out that «Dubai Civil Aviation» also issued 393 no objection certificates for the use of cranes in the towers since the beginning of this year until now, and issued 87 certificates for the towers that exceed 300 meters in height.

He mentioned that 1555 licenses for the Drones drone have been registered since the beginning of this year compared to 1134 licenses last year and 409 licenses in 2017 with a total of 3098 licenses in three years, indicating the significant growth in registration operations regarding these aircraft.

He added that the authority is currently working on an integrated system of drones at the level of the Emirate of Dubai after it was approved, to be announced soon, pointing out that the working group is currently following all the standards within this system that will determine the general and safe use of these aircraft.

He stressed that all bodies, individuals, and hobbyists are obligated under the law to register drones and obtain the necessary licenses for them, noting that Law No. 7 of 2015 regarding the safety and security of the airspace in the Emirate of Dubai clarifies the penalties for violations.

Lengawi said that specific areas have been designated for amateurs regarding the operation of unmanned aircraft that are strictly forbidden to use outside these areas and is coordinating with the Dubai Police General Command regarding monitoring of unauthorized activities of unmanned aircraft, pointing out the importance of knowing the laws and standards of these aircraft before operating them to avoid penalties And irregularities.
